The town of Hudson is gearing up for our 2nd
Annual PMC Hudson Kids Ride.Our first
ride was a huge with the kids raising $5,993.15.We did this with only 58 riders and 42 volunteers
and an out pouring of support from the community.In 2010 we hope to register 100 riders. Last
year 5,438 kids rode in approximately 30 kids rides throughout New England and raised $677,937.04 for the Dana-Farber
Cancer Institute and it’s Jimmy Fund.
The PMC Hudson Kids Ride features
three routes to choose from.The Minor League Route,
a closed circuit that includes an obstacle course that is perfect for riders
ages 3 to 6 and children with challenges.The Minor League Route
is a two mile ride on level terrain and is designed for 7 to 10 year old
riders.The All Star Route is a challenging four mile
route featuring a variety of road surfaces and elevation changes.All of our routes are on the Assabet Valley
Rail Trail.The actual route may change
slightly based on the progress of the rail trail construction.
Following the ride there will be
a wrap up party with music, games and food!All riders are automatically entered into a raffle with fantastic prizes
riders will also receive an additional raffle ticket for every $25 five dollars
raised.All riders receive a PMC Kids
Tee Shirt and water bottle.
This year the Hudson ride will offer a Heavy Hitter
program.All riders who raise $250.00 or
more will be invited to a special Heavy Hitter event.Details of the event will be announced as the
ride date gets closer.
