Welcome to the PMC Westborough Kids Ride!

Please join us for the second annual PMC Kids Ride-Westborough. 

On Sunday, May 23, kids from ages 3 to 13 from Westborough and beyond are invited to come together to bike to support cancer research and the Jimmy Fund.  We will be riding in honor of our 6-year-old Westborough Pedal Partner, Kayleigh McCabe, who receives follow-up care at the Dana-Farber’s Jimmy Fund Clinic.  We will also be riding and fundraising in honor of the many friends and family members who have fought, or still fight, the battle with cancer.  The Mission of the PMC Kids Ride is to teach our children the value of working for the benefit of others, while promoting physical fitness and community spirit. 

Children ages 3-13 are invited to register to ride. There will be a shorter loop, located at WHS, for kids aged 3-~6 (or kids on 3+ wheels) and a larger, ¾ mile, loop (WHS onto Charles St and back) for kids ages ~7-13 (or kids on 2 wheels). Biking will take place from 10-11am, in a continuous loop or until the children tire.  Though not necessary, parents can bike along with their children, if desired.

Older children, and adults, who would like to be involved, are encouraged to volunteer. There is a role for everyone!

Riders and their families, please join us at the end of the ride for a celebration including refreshments, face painting, music, raffle/silent auction and more.

Registration is done online.  Registration begins in April and all registered riders will receive a PMC Kids t-shirt and water bottle at check-in.  Registration is capped at 200 riders so REGISTER SOON by clicking on “Register to Ride.”

Although there is no fundraising minimum, each rider is encouraged to raise as much money as they can for this important cause.   Click on the Fundraising button on the top menu to learn great ways to help make a BIG DIFFERENCE!  Individual contributions raised, separate from the online e-gifts button above, should be made payable to “PMC Kids Ride-Westborough” and may be turned in on the day of the ride or at early check-in.

PMC Kids Heavy Hitters - New for 2010! The PMC Kids Rides are proud to announce the creation of a PMC Kids Heavy Hitter program. Many of the riders who reach this level of fundraising have a direct link to someone who has been affected by cancer, and many others want to put in extra effort to help those who are affected by cancer. Each motivated rider who raises $250 or more will be honored as a PMC Kids Heavy Hitter.  These PMC Kids Heavy Hitters will be recognized with a special PMC Kids Heavy Hitter baseball hat and other items to distinguish their achievement.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available and encouraged.  We are kindly accepting individual and corporate donation items (sporting tickets, gift cards, baskets, etc) to be included in the raffle and silent auction on the day of the ride.
