The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), the world’s single most successful athletic fundraiser, has announced a $78 million gift for cancer research, treatment, and patient care at the top-ranked Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since its founding in 1980, the PMC has raised a total of $1.125 billion to advance Dana-Farber’s mission in the fight against cancer. The milestone gift was announced during a celebratory brunch at Rochambeau in Boston on Sunday morning.

The PMC is looking for eager, passionate, and dedicated volunteers in the Newton/Needham area to join the Newton-Needham PMC Kids Ride as a PMC Kids Rides Coordinator! This volunteer will work as part of a committee alongside existing coordinators and PMC staff to plan, promote, and execute this exciting ride. The Newton/Needham community has raised more than $500,000 since the first ride in 2007.

The Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC) is pleased to share that the Yawkey Foundation is the Presenting Sponsor of the 2022 PMC Kids Rides program, marking more than a decade of support for the PMC. PMC Kids Rides are mini bike-a-thons that involve young cyclists in the PMC’s mission by providing them the opportunity to fight cancer just like adults and raise money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Dana-Farber). The program allows children, parents, and others to work together to create individual bike-a-thons in neighborhoods, at schools, or in business complexes.
