Welcome to the PMC Chatham-Brewster Kids Ride!

PMC Kids Chatham-Brewster extends a huge thanks to all the riders, volunteers and sponsors who made our June 12th Kids Ride successful!  One hundred kids (ages 2-15) rode for a cure, raising over $12,000!  We took a chance to start a new leg of an already existing Middle School Ride for younger kids and it paid off!!!  The folks in Chatham and Brewster welcomed kids from all over Cape Cod and celebrated with great success!  The ride this year was in honor of our pedal partner, Emily Coughlin, a Chatham 5-year-old girl who has been battling a rare form of cancer since 2009.

Approximately 1/2 the kids rode from Chatham to Brewster’s Nickerson State Park and back again on the Cape Cod Rail Trail, a distance of 30 miles, stopping part way to join the younger kids at Stony Brook School for lunch and celebration.  The 30 mile ride took 1-2 hours in each direction.  Younger kids rode either a track in the school parking lot, or a smaller Tykes and Trikes challenge, all riding for an entire hour, proudly.

If you missed our event, no worries, we'll be back next June!  Mark your calendars to look for details on March 1st, 2011, right here at this page!
