Start A Ride

Start A PMC Kids Ride In Your Town!

Planning a Kids Ride is a fun and rewarding way to get your community involved in the PMC mission: finding a cure for cancer through athletic-based fundraising. The following steps will help you get started in planning your ride:

  • Find a Location: Schools and office parks are a great fit as they allow ample parking and space for the event. But be creative! We have rides of all shapes and sizes.
  • Form a Committee: Ask friends and family to help you plan your ride – it's a fun way to get everyone involved and share responsibilities!
  • Choose a Date: The PMC supports kids rides in May, June, September and early October. Choose a date that works around your schedule and community.
  • Plan Your Route: Include a tot lot for younger, less experienced riders, and longer routes for older riders. Routes can be a loop on the property where your ride is held, or through neighborhoods.

The PMC offers guidance to plan your route and organize your volunteers. The PMC will also guide you for provisions you may need and, when possible, help you secure necessary supplies. The PMC provides PMC Kids Rides t-shirts and water bottles for every event participant, and banners, tables, cones, etc., may be borrowed from our warehouse.

The PMC will promote your ride on our website, social media, by email, and will work with our PR team to help you with media outreach.
