Welcome to the Cranberry Country PMC Kids Ride

Welcome to The Cranberry Country PMC Kids Ride! While this will be our sixth ride, it will be the first time our ride is being held at the Apponequet Regional High School in Lakeville.

Due to the growth of our ride, we chose Apponequet because of the wonderful facilities, much easier parking and the ability to have an enclosed course resulting in improved safety for all of our riders. The Freetown-Lakeville School District has been extremely supportive of our ride each year and has expanded its support by providing us access to its wonderful facilities.

Just like the adult PMC ride held the first weekend in August of each year, our Kids Ride will raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). And, just like the adult ride, 100% of all rider-raised donations will go straight to the Jimmy Fund and used to support cancer research, patient care and families of treated patients.

The Cranberry Country PMC Kids Ride is a way for children to become involved in philanthropy and community activities at an early age while learning the valuable lesson of how good it feels to do something that benefits others. At the same time, the ride promotes a healthy and active lifestyle.

We also want to celebrate the accomplishments of the kids that participate in the Kids Ride and teach them that they can have a great time doing something that helps others. So, we have a lot of fun activities planned for the day to include: bouncy houses, face painters, balloon makers, a large fire truck from the Lakeville Fire Department, deejay providing music, all sorts of fun games and activities plus a pizza party after the ride and ice cream sundaes.

While there will be a time limit for the actual ride, there is no minimum or maximum distance. Riders are encouraged to ride for as long as they feel comfortable and are enjoying themselves.

The ride will take place rain or shine; only a thunderstorm will cause a cancellation.

Please make sure to bring a properly fitting helmet for each rider.

Register to Ride

Parents will need to create an account or log in with an existing account in order to register their child or family. When creating an account, please enter the parent's information first as there will be a separate part in registration to enter the child's information. During registration there is the option to join or create a team, as well as create a family page. Parents will need to sign a waiver and commit to the $35 fundraising minimum per rider.

Once registration is complete, parents will receive an email with information on how to log into their management page to customize donation pages and to track donations.

The fundraising minimum for each rider is $35 and is due by September 1, 2020.

Riders who go above and beyond with their fundraising will be recognized Heavy Hitters or Breakaway Fundraisers and will receive a special gift in recognition of their fundraising efforts.

Sponsorship Opportunities

The Cranberry Country PMC Kids Rides relies on local sponsors to help keep costs low and so that the PMC can continue to donate 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. If you or your company are interested in becoming a sponsor or to donate items (pizza, ice cream, snacks, sporting tickets, gift cards, baskets, etc) please click on the button below.
