Welcome to the Greater Manchester, NH PMC Kids Ride!

The ride this year will be VIRTUAL! Sign up to be a virtual rider and raise money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute!

We encourage riders to get creative when deciding what their virtual ride means to them. Whether it is a social distance ride around your neighborhood or a long bike ride with your family - it is up to you to decide!

In 2005, the PMC Kids Rides became an official PMC program as a way to include young cyclists in the Pan-Mass Challenge’s mission of raising money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Since then, the PMC Kids Rides program has raised over $10 million, with 100 percent going directly to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

We all want to help cure cancer – make the commitment to join us!  The Greater Manchester, NH PMC Kids Ride will bring us "closer by the mile" to a cure!

Routes

Riders can choose their own route for this year’s virtual ride. Talk to your parents and family members and get creative when creating the route you will ride. Have fun with it - ride loops in your neighborhood or plan for a longer bike ride with your family. Set-up your own water stop or make fun chalk drawings in the street for encouragement.

Please make sure to follow all public health regulations and guidelines for your area, while practicing safe social distancing. See the “Safety” section below for more tips.

Register to Ride Virtual

Parents will need to create an account or log in with an existing account in order to register their child or family. When creating an account, please enter the parent's information first as there will be a separate part in registration to enter the child's information.

Once registration is complete, parents will receive an email with information on how to log into their management page to customize donation pages and to track donations.

Since the ride is virtual there is no registration fee or fundraising commitment. As such, riders will not receive the traditional goodie bag this year.

Fundraising

Virtual riders do not have a fundraising commitment, however we encourage all riders to set a fundraising goal to help raise money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100% of all rider-raised dollars will go directly to lifesaving cancer research and treatment.

Riders who go above and beyond with their fundraising will be recognized as All Star Fundraisers, Heavy Hitters or Breakaway Fundraisers and will receive a special gift in recognition of their fundraising efforts in late Fall.

  • All Star – $100+, riders will receive a PMC Kids Rides pennant
  • Heavy Hitter – $400+, riders will receive a PMC hat
  • Breakaway Fundraiser – $900+, riders will receive an item in the PMC store

Safety

Please follow all public health regulations and guidelines for your area while biking in your neighborhood. Limit large groups of unrelated bikers and practice safe, social distancing.

General Safety Tips!

  1. Wear a properly-fitted helmet.
  2. Ride with a parent or guardian.
  3. Hands should remain on handlebars.
  4. Never wear any kind of headphones. You need to hear clearly.
  5. When passing, make sure to yell “on your left!”
  6. If you need to slow down or stop to cross an intersection or obstacle, yell “slowing” or “stopping” to alert those behind you.

Volunteers

Since the ride has gone virtual, we do not have any volunteer opportunities this year. The PMC encourages all volunteers to consider becoming a PMC Virtual Rider. You'll need to log in using a PMC account (not a PMC Kids Rides account) to set up your virtual ride.

You can request your fundraising be directed towards the Greater Manchester, NH PMC Kids Ride by emailing kids@pmc.org
