Are You the Next Newton-Needham PMC Kids Ride Coordinator?
The PMC is looking for eager, passionate, and dedicated volunteers in the Newton/Needham area to join the Newton-Needham PMC Kids Ride as a PMC Kids Rides Coordinator! This volunteer will work as part of a committee alongside existing coordinators and PMC staff to plan, promote, and execute this exciting ride. The Newton/Needham community has raised more than $500,000 since the first ride in 2007.
If interested in becoming a coordinator, please contact Justine Darmanian, Director of PMC Kids Rides, at 781-343-4012 or justine@pmc.org by mid-late March 2025. The Newton-Needham PMC Kids Ride is typically held in May or June, so event planning will start in early spring.
About PMC Kids Rides
PMC Kids Rides engage young cyclists in the organization’s mission: raising money for adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber. In addition to promoting physical activity, the program teaches children the value of working for the benefit of others. Since its first ride in 1998, the PMC Kids Rides program has raised more than $12 million.
In 2024, 21 PMC Kids Rides attracted 1,475 young cyclists and 503 volunteers to raise more than $422,000 as part of the Pan-Mass Challenge’s (PMC) record-breaking $75 million gift to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 2025, the PMC will host 25 rides for 2,500 young cyclists to raise critical funds for Dana-Farber, with 100 percent of rider-raised dollars contributing to the PMC’s annual gift. The PMC is Dana-Farber's largest single contributor, representing 66 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue.
